Psalm 1: 1-3 1, BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinnersMorePsalm 1: 1-3 1, BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

2, But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. 3, And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season- its leaf also shall not fade or wither- and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. Why should you study to know and live Gods Word? All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 Jesus used the metaphor of harvesting to describe the act of sharing the Gospel with others and inviting them into the kingdom of God. There is no need to wait to collect He says here- people are ready and waiting to hear Gods message of grace. There is never a lack of work for Christians to do! In this passage, Jesus observes that there are far less people sharing the Gospel than there are people who need to hear it.

He uses the imagery of a harvest awaiting teams of workers to gather it and bring it in. Be blessed and be a blessing, let God use you to bless others by sharing His Word. Matthew 9: 35 - 37 (HCSB) The Lord of the Harvest 35 Then Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. 36 When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd.

37 Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.
